Caisses Desjardins De Lorimier Deploys Employee-facing Digital Signage

Caisses Desjardins De Lorimier have installed Mirada Media's ChannelView content management system to better allocate resources and increase client satisfaction at its three branches located near the heart of downtown Montréal.

The custom-designed "dashboard", which is displayed on employee-facing LCD panels throughout the branches, shows real-time information on customer queues, wait times, and teller performance. There is also a ticker for corporate news and branch alerts located at the bottom of the dashboard. The dashboard is powered by Mirada Media's ChannelView content management system and is integrated with legacy systems created by Frisco Bay. In addition, branch managers are able to remotely access the dashboard, view statistics, and compare results across branches via Mirada's ChannelView online interface.

The management team at the Caisse Desjardins De Lorimier wanted to increase teller productivity by providing real-time metrics on customer queues in the branch. Jean-François Lauzon, Associate Director of Assisted Transactions at the Caisse Desjardins De Lorimier, explained that they have “set performance objectives and the dashboard allows us to view how we're doing relative to these benchmarks. Also, having real-time data allows us to adapt quickly. As an example, we strive to keep wait times under 10 minutes. The moment that objective becomes at risk, tellers will see it on the dashboard and ask their colleagues for help in handling the rush.”

Mr. Lauzon also noted that “Prior to installing the dashboard system, a supervisor would need to intervene whenever wait times would increase. Now, with the dashboard as a tool, our tellers are able to manage client queues independently and much more effectively. We feel that our level of service has improved and are very happy with the results so far.”

In the retail and services sector, digital signage is mainly used in client-facing situations in an effort to promote products and increase client engagement; however, Eric Morello, Mirada Media's Director of Marketing, sees a growing need for digital signage “behind the scenes”. He notes that “Having access to timely information is essential to making any decision. In the service industry, this means being nimble and tactically managing resources to ensure customer satisfaction. After all, no one likes to wait in line. Digital signage is an extremely powerful tool because it addresses both the needs for accuracy and accessibility. It shows you how you're doing in real time and thus lets you adapt in real time.”

X20 also debuted its Xpresenter Integrated Conference Experience (ICE) at InfoComm 2011 (stand 4983), a networked system that provides capabilities for managing presentation content.

    Haivision Unleashes New High-Def Streamer/Recorder at InfoComm 2011

    Haivision Network Video, leading provider of the most advanced video networking, digital signage, and IP video distribution solutions, today announced that it is showcasing the new Viper™ at InfoComm. The Viper, Haivision’s fifth-generation H.264 technology, is an ultra-compact, integrated appliance for capturing, streaming, reviewing, distributing, and publishing multistream HD and computer graphics content.

    The Viper simplifies the recording and streaming of multistream content through a high-resolution touch panel.     EnQii, Minicom mashup gets dubbed ComQi







    EnQii Holdings and Minicom Digital Signage (MDS), announced a merger of their companies last month, creating a "multichannel message management leader" and they've finally announced their new merged company's name: ComQi.

    ComQi and its senior management staff will present its new identity as a merged company at InfoComm in Orlando on June 15th - June 17th in booth # 5873.

    Cirque du Soleil get glasses-free 3D digital signage display for Beatles "LOVE" anniversary

    3DFusion Corp. announced today its joint collaboration with Cirque du Soleil and the Mirage Hotel in celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Beatles "LOVE" theatrical extravaganza. Showcased at the Mirage Hotel, 3DFusion introduces their 52", glasses-free 3DTV display, featuring the Cirque du Soleil, "LOVE" performance, currently on stage at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.

    "The Mirage Hotel 'LOVE' 3D display is the first of many 3DFusion installations planned for the Las Vegas area," stated Paul Cohan, President of Frahan Solutions Inc, the 3DFusion marketing firm that was instrumental in putting together the Cirque / Mirage 3D Promotional package.

    Lou D'Angeli, President of Cirque/RSD wanted to add another dimension to their smash hit "LOVE" Beatles-themed show. Working with the award winning Cimarron Group and its president Bob Farina, they decided to showcase scenes from "LOVE" and spotlight them on 3DFusion's 52" auto stereoscopic display (ASD).

    Mood Media provide in-store audio and visual solutions to ECCO stores across the world

    Shoe retailer ECCO is adding enhanced, state-of-the-art visuals to its current in-store solutions, provided by Mood Media Corporation (TSX:MM/ LSE AIM:MM), to entice its customers with a multi-sensory shopping experience.
